We are officially moving. Job contract is signed and mailed. House is under contract. Boxes are accumulating. And Goodwill is loving us right now since we’re moving from the midwestern suburbs to California–the land of no basements. Where are we supposed to put our stuff?!
Moving across the country with three kids and two cats is going to be interesting, to say the least. Moving away from friends, church, schools is going to be difficult. Leaving family and everything I’ve ever known to be home is going to feel unbearable, I’m sure.
It is certainly bittersweet, but I’m trying to focus on the sweet right now. We know this is where God wants us without a doubt. He is driving this move, and we are just along for the ride. There is a peace in knowing this. And a comfort in knowing that He is all we need–basement or no basement; stuff or no stuff.
